ISO 27001 renewal
In January 2026, the CIRU successfully passed their annual assessment and have been awarded continued certification to an international information security management system (ISMS) standard called Information Security Management System (ISO 27001). The standard provides a framework for organisations to manage their information security and protect their data. Achieving ISO 27001 builds trust with our clients and demonstrates the Unit’s commitment in securing confidential information. The certification has been recognised by BSI.
Jo Musgrove, Head of Data Security and Clinical Research Regulatory Compliance, says: “This achievement is a huge testament to how well we all work together as a team to develop, maintain and improve our processes and software. I am so proud of this achievement as it reflects the CIRU’s commitment to maintaining excellence in all we do.”
